Quitting Starbucks (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Still-Paramedic8454
So after 4 years of working as a barista I’ve decided to put my 2 weeks in at the end of this week. Many situations led me to this (basically my manager being horrible) but I’d rather just go peacefully. I just have some questions about how to go about it if anyone can help? Also what happens to my 401k/stocks/benefits? Pls help

Call fidelity. They will be able to give you a breakdown of rolling it over to a Roth IRA vs. other plans. There might be fees assessed to change a 401k to an IRA, but both have their benefits.

Could I potentially cash it out? Could really use it for some funeral costs for my father in-law

Possibly. But if you can there’ll be a big hit to it. Fidelity will know.
