I have a coworker that will sometimes come in with B.O.. But over the past few weeks, it has been almost every day. To me, it's quite bad. However, I have not heard anyone else complain about it. This makes me paranoid and think it's me, but at this point I can CONFIDENTLY that it is them.
I know that this is covered in the hygiene portion of our dress code, but what can I do? My first thought is to speak to our SM, but ya know, it's awkward. They are also a SSV, so that complicates things a little further.
I know the answer is probably to just talk to my SM, but I also just need to rant somewhere about it. It's every day. I have to hold my breath every time I walk by them. God forbid we are next to each other in bar...

Def speak to your SM ASAP

you have 3 options.
1. talk to them yourself 2. have another coworker talk to them (do they have a SB's bestie) 3. tell the SM and have them handle it.
I've seen this issue twice, turned out the first guy worked another job right before SB's and wasn't able to shower, he was scared to ask for different shifts but the manager fixed the issue. 2nd guy just didn't know he smelled and came from a culture that never wore deodorant, once he started everything was fine. No harm no foul.

Have you tried just confronting them yourself first? Just lean in and sniff them before going "shit bro you stink!" And tell them to use deodorant more often or something. Going to the sm immediately feels like a bit much lmaoo

As another SSV myself, that could easily be construed as purposefully embarrassing or harassing a fellow partner.

Then it can be worded more politely. My point still stands, confronting the problem 1 on 1 is better than going to a supervisor just bc some guys stinky

Username does not checkout alert 🚨!! (Kidding, that’s just eww. Speak to your SM and they’ll handle it) 😊

Is there one in every store?? As a shift I've had a few awkward conversations myself with stinky partners. If you're uncomfortable speaking to the partner yourself than reach out to another ssv or sm.

Honestly try to get them in the back with another partner. Sniff the air and say “is someone wearing cologne? It’s really strong” and wait and see if the other partner catches on. Might be better than saying “hey you stink”. My old manager even used to bring a spray on deodorant for us to use LOL.

but yeah just talk to them privately about it or tell the sm

me: oh god what if this is someone from my store also me: showers 1-2 times a day, has 3 body washes, 5 conditioners, 2 shampoos, buys hygiene stuff everytime i go to walmart, puts on cologne before every shift even tho it's against dress code

Me paranoid that this may be about me so I put perfume in before my shift (idk why I shower every day lol and wear clean clothes )
