Listen man, my store has a customer connections score of a whopping 41%. We are running on pretty much all new hires and only 3-4 people with actual experience, and of those only 2ish of us are confident in starting up conversations with the customers. So to the creepy men who come up to me on the daily trying to get my number, call me pet names, or invite me home after closing, you can fuck right off. I’m smiling at you and asking about your day and complementing you in some way because *that is part of my job*, not because I want to get with your crusty ass. Every single human who comes through the line is getting the exact same treatment as you, so idk why you think you’re special. Especially as a small afab person who works the closing shift, I’m tired of looking over my shoulder while I walk back to my car after the sun has gone down.
