I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately a request is not a guarantee. Based on business need, schedule requests may not necessarily be accommodated. There is no such thing as a “protest.” You are ultimately responsible for working the scheduled shifts.

Probably because of the holiday. Requests are simply that, requests. They can be denied based on store needs. I would suggest calling around now and getting the shifts covered, ultimately you’re responsible for them.

Maybe it’s a black out date?, my sm had most of July black out dates where people requested off and others can request due to the immense amount of requests

have you considered asking why it was denied? perhaps you can get some of the days off (they might only need you for one day).

when was the time off rejected? generally they will reject it a bit ahead of time.. either way i’m sorry it didn’t work out.
