Corporate stores are real sticklers when it comes to graphics. They want “consistency” instead of embracing the “individuality” they flaunt in their uniform guide book.

So backwards from the original intent, just shows how twisted the corporate environment has become. It used to be more about showing off the individual talents of partners where they could.

The new CEO and his crew are really big on “Yeah that makes me more money.” like Howard was still a rich ceo guy with money in mind but the Roasteries were his passion project and really show off what his intentions were for Starbucks. All the custom signage, the chalk boards, and other little creative things were almost phased out immediate when we swapped CEOS.

What’s the point of selling reusable cups when I can’t bring it in and have a barista fill it up eliminating the waste of a paper cup?
wbotb4 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
I work at a licensed store and as of a few days ago we started accepting customer's cups again

Nice. Hopeful they start soon at my store.

I no longer work at sbux but afaik they’re rolling out reusable cups again (like, baristas filling them) but maybe slowly.

Gorgeous! I always took a picture and mourned my chalkboards right before I had to erase them :)
