Ssv and barista trainer here. Seriously can’t beat yourself up. You’re expected to learn a lot of information in a very short time. It’s gonna be awhile before you feel like you actually know what you’re doing. I always tell my green beans that you’ll have this ‘a-ha moment’ where everything suddenly makes sense. Until then there’s a lot of uncertainty and hand holding. It’s more concerning if you don’t ask questions and then have to take time to correct mistakes that could have been avoided. Everyone has to go through the rough patch of being a green bean. I don’t see why your ssv would put you on dto with such little experience. I think it would be best if you communicate with your ssv what you feel most comfortable with and ask for guidance as needed. Customer support can definitely be confusing but definitely the best spot for newbies. It allows you to get a birds eye view of the store and learn all the positions. Cut yourself some slack. It gets better. (:

noo i bet you did great!!!! it was barely your first day as not being trained, i know some baristas who still need a bit of help and theyve been working for a while, me as well (ive been in my sbux for 2 months, but in a license sbux for 5 months ). i definitely get the feeling of being in the way, but trust me, i feel a lot better when new baristas ask questions than staying quiet.
the register is different from my license store, so it took me a while to get the hang of it, and im sorry u had to do solo drive without still getting the hang of the register , but it'll get better!

Hiiiiii! I’ve been with Starbucks for two weeks now, going on three. So a fellow green bean. Trust me when I say in the next few days you are going to absolutely kill the game.
