I need to know, I’m not the only person who works at Starbucks that doesn’t drink coffee or have caffeine, right? The only time I’ve had coffee since I started was the tasting during training and then a tall blonde mocha for the handful of openings I’ve done

you're definitely not the only one! i used to be the biggest coffee drinker but ive had to seriously cut back for health reasons and in the meantime ive rediscovered my love of iced tea, iced matcha lattes, and water to get me through my shift (since i still need Some caffeine, i haven't managed to completely kick the addiction haha)

I'm not a coffee person either. At all. I had to drink a pour over as part of the taste testing bit during training, and the combination of its terrible flavor and the amount of caffeine it sent through my unaccustomed body's bloodstream caused my right arm to violently and involuntarily jerk and I splashed the rest of the cup's contents everywhere. Me and coffee/espresso just cannot be friends

not the only one lol. i literally never liked any of the drinks and yet i pulled suggestions out of thin air. i’ve never tried more than half our flavors but i will offer them in .2 seconds. i dislike coffee to the point my manager stopped making me do tastings except when i was training green beans

I feel you. Nitros have literally changed my bowel habits. I think for the better? Sometimes on days off my body is like, “Not until you have a nitro.” So I go get my mark out. 🤦🏻♀️

I’ve started to get over the fraps… when I first started working, I would drink one per shift. But they’re really sweet. I am a sweet tooth and they’re still really sweet! So I weaned myself off of them. I keep it simple with iced coffee and iced passion tea with apple juice later in the day. That’s my fix for now.

I hated coffee when I started and only liked steamers or refreshers, the sweeter the better! We always made/make crazy fancy nitro shots with tons of sugar and junk and I became accustomed to nitro. Now I drink at least one grande nitro with sweet cream and only one syrup every day. I find myself saying, “This is too sweet for me,” about certain things we sample. I NEVER thought those words would come out of my mouth. I’m ruined. Black coffee is coming my way.

I also enjoy the Passion Tea with apple juice! It’s my go to if I have to open the next morning. Can’t drink caffeine past noon or it keeps me up!
