Do your shift ever get longer?
My shifts for training are all extremely short (3:45). Do the shift get longer after training?

I mean the shortest I've worked is 4 hours but sometimes don't mind it because I'm in and out and, at least at my store, if you want more hours there's always one person to call out say every other day on average

Also I will say if you're running on low sleep 4 hour shift are pretty great as you just get enough caffeine to get through it and then, hopefully, you can put your head down after

Yes they do, shortest shift I’ve seen is 5 hours.

Okay because I worked at McDonald’s previously and was getting 7-8 hour shifts

At my store only SSV and closing baristas can get 7-8 hours :) ask to be trained to be a closer after training

I’m fairly new and at my store my hours average out at 7.5 a day (there for 8 because of lunch). I wonder if it is because of the number of staff we have or if it has to do with our drive thru?

Probably the number of staff :) we have a large staff where no one has enough hours

you will definitely get more hours if you are open availability i believe all trainin hours are short but the shortest hours youll get once you are actually on the floor workin will probably be 5 hours
