Besties, please know the difference between a blended strawberry lemonade and a strawberry açaí lemonade blended. I love you all but please 😭 sincerely, your fellow barista trying to survive the 115 weather and is too shy to send it back when they make me a strawberry açaí lemonade blended.

It gets cream base so the ice isn't clunky and actually is able to get out of the blender.

Recipe is strawberry puree to the bottom ridge of the cup (like the strawberry creme Frapp) with lemonade to first line, ice, and creme base 2,3,4

Strawberry lemonade blended is lemonade and strawberry purée with ice and the strawberry açaí lemonade blended is strawberry refresher, inclusions and lemonade blended.

Actually unless recipes have changed since I worked there then I believe the Blended Strawberry lemonade also gets cream base. I think it’s less pumps though

It does get creme base, but the normal amount. This helps it emulsify.

I’ve never been told that cream base goes into it. Not saying you’re wrong just that I haven’t heard of it.

I was a partner from 2013-2019. I’m pretty sure it was like a 1-1-2 or something like that for pumps of cream base

I would check the store resources on the iPad because I believe the point of cream base is for when there’s dairy to stop it clumping up

My understanding was that the base helps liquids “cling” to ice better to give the drink more body/make it thicker

I was guilty of this mistake when I was a green bean. I’m a year in now and definitely know and teach when I see our babies doing it. It’s an easy one to confuse especially since both drinks are asked for. I am in the same boat though. I pretty much never speak up when a store makes my drink wrong because aNxIEty.

Yeah. I feel bad because a store was busy and didn't want to bother them. I also know how it can be annoying to blend refreshers with no additional charge so I hate if they think that of me sometimes.

I’ve had people ask for the strawberry açaí lemonade blended before and they meant the blended strawberry lemonade.
