Oh, they absolutely can fire you for being pro union in most states. Also, gonna double down and not be surprised if this is a Starbucks scam to out “undesirables”.

Do you work in an at-will state?

Because if so, you're about to learn the power of that law.

> dress code approved

We're not allowed to wear any pins that weren't produced by Starbucks.

Sorry to burst your bubble but, this isn't a good idea.

Dress code explicitly states Starbucks pins only and sbux also hates unions so I really doubt this. I’d love to be proven wrong!

I really want this to be true but can you cite something?

Girl you signed a piece of paper saying you wouldn’t unionize when you got hired. It’s literally a fireable offense. I got hired way too long ago, but I actually signed multiple waivers about it. I’m not sure how they do it now, but I’m sure you signed something.

As great as it would be, we literally cannot unionize. Also, many of us work in what they call an “at will” state, meaning you can get fired for shits and giggles if you want to.

This is a bad idea. Also it’s absolutely not dress code approved, sorry.

Yeah I love this idea but sadly I can’t support it. Knowing my manager and my district, they couldn’t outright fire anybody for being pro union but they would certainly watch us for any other behaviors they could try to write up. Enough write ups for silly things and you’re fired and now they don’t have to worry about you unionizing. I support anybody who is brave enough to try it but it’s not safe for those of us who can’t afford to lose our jobs

As much as I'd love a union option I think Starbucks is just too big in too many states and countries to have an affective union
