I am a trainer and the last few trainees I have had I have given each of them a tiny little succulent in a little pot like two inches tall that I have painted with things like "for a badass trainee" or "you blew me away". I also often get them cake that I write something nice on with that gel frosting that comes in a tube.
During the winter I got all my fellow closers (because we were understaffed every close and really having to bust ass for each other) a nice little individual card that I wrote something nice in and I attached to the card these really cool sharpies I found that are specially formulated to write on wet or oily surfaces. They now have named those sharpies after me and everyone who has one protects it fiercely. I have seen people argue over who stole their special sharpie. All playfully and not really serious arguments if course but they still guard those sharpies so much they won't let other people borrow them. 😂😂

Buy a box of donuts or cookies and leave them in the break area. Everyone likes a non-Starbucks treat :)

Hey congrats on your first week! I recently became a barista trainer and I’m getting my first green bean this week and I was wondering if there was any standout things that helped your week go by smoother that the trainer did for you? Any help would be much appreciated 💚

Maybe a small box of chocolates or candy?
