I was cafe/mobile bar this morning. I had a three drink order for Jacob come through and then an iced coffee for Jim afterwards. Because of the complexity of Jacob’s drinks and types, I handed out Jacob’s first drink at the same time as Jim’s iced coffee.
me: sets Jacob’s frappuccino down in front of him (because of course he’s blocking half the handoff plane) and sets Jim’s iced coffee on the other side
me: frappuccino for Jacob, iced coffee for Jim :)
jacob: picks up the iced coffee, looks at the sticker
me: Jim? (knowing full well it isn’t)
jacob: this isn’t mine
me: yeah no
I took Jim’s iced coffee back and dumped it to remake since Jacob had touched it and remade Jim’s iced coffee :’)

Not many customers actually piss me off but theres something about the ones who look right at you while you repeat the name and order and still take it just to say its not theirs as if you said it was??? Then you hand them their actual drink and even visually its an entirely different drink like why did you think a strawberry frap for Sara was your venti dark roast, kevin???

I was in cafe mobile a few days ago. A woman had a mobile order for Lexi, I was working on her drinks as well as a cold brew for Caleb (cafe order). I handed out Caleb’s drink first since it was plain, when he went to grab the drink Lexi takes it OUT OF HIS HAND and takes a huge sip out it. I just makes me wonder what goes through these people’s heads

I like to stop making their drink, make eye contact as I dump it, remake the whole drink and then get back to work on theirs. Like, I’m not rude about it and no one (to my knowledge has complained) but it does slow everything down.
This is probably why I’m never put over there during peak.

I TRIED to be pointed about it when I dumped it, but instead I just looked like a fool because the lid wouldn’t come off 😔

I walked into a different store's cafe today and the customers flocking the pickup were sooooo touchy. I was so close to snapping but I ain't gonna stress when I'm not working ;-;
