Ok I dont know if some of these responses are troll responses or not but as a shift let me clear some things up. There is no chance you will get an accommodation to not make dairy drinks. (I actually laughed when I heard this sorry lmao) It is part of the job of being a barista. Accommodations are a thing but its typically for religious/disability related issues. Furthermore it doesnt hurt to try and ask for a tiny bit more over the starting wage. Say you would be starting at 14 and you ask for 14.50. You need a reason though. Perhaps you are worth it because you have real experience or some other quality. But no they will not just give you a higher starting wage for no reason. Its great you got an interview I would take this time to have a reality check so you dont blow it.

memorize the starbucks mission and values and make sure to try mention how you try to incorporate that into how you are in everyday life! good luck 😊
roxman68 [OP]1 points2y ago
Thanks I already did that!

Make sure your customer service is top tier. You’ll be told a lot about Starbucks being an experience. “We’re a people business serving coffee not a coffee business serving people” still a new bean but just make sure to be super kind and friendly
roxman68 [OP]1 points2y ago
Oh okay thanks yeah I’m actually a really nice person as long as I’m treated with respect
Pixelology8 points2y ago
In the service industry there will be many people that don't treat you with respect. In America, it's really frowned upon to have an attitude even when a customer is treating you like shit. Be prepared for this situation.
roxman68 [OP]-6 points2y ago
Just because I’m going to be in the service industry doesn’t mean I shouldn’t get respect
Pixelology4 points2y ago
I completely agree, but sadly not all people care and there are also a lot of people that are just having bad days and take it out on kids in the service industry

Also what is the best way to negotiate my salary
planetsman12 points2y ago
I think the best way would be to tell them that you're not going to work for less than $20 an hour, and if they can't match that then you will sell Herbalife to your co-workers and customers to make up the difference.
ContentAd4905 points2y ago
You can’t really negotiate. They start everyone the same. You make what they offer
roxman68 [OP]-2 points2y ago
Doesn’t hurt to try
randommuses9 points2y ago
Actually it will lol. It's Starbucks and you have zero experience. If you try to haggle with them then they're just gonna thank you for your time, send you out the door, and go with the next applicant.
