I was offered a new job over the weekend where I would be making more money and I would have a set schedule. I really want to make this career change. But they need me to start July 1. Which means I would not be able to complete what I am already scheduled for the next 3 weeks. I’m also a shift supervisor. I just feel so torn, I do not want to let my manager or my store down. But I also cannot pass up this opportunity.

They will figure it out. Go with the new job. Communicate as soon as possible.

They’ll sort it out. You’d be shorting yourself to not take the job. Congrats!

Just sat down with my manager. She was so supportive and excited for me. She said my last day can be July 4th. Thank you everyone for the encouragement!

Take the new job. I would sit down with your manager and talk about it ASAP. I would explain that it was a sudden offer and that you plan on taking it. As long as you don’t burn any bridges (on the off chance this other job doesn’t work out) you will be fine.

Your store will survive. If you really wanna be nice and leave the “right way”, go talk to your SM and explain you can work til 6/30 but after that you’re moving on.

Or just YOLO & quit via the phone like I did 😂

Go to the new job, Starbucks will always recover. Your coworkers might have a tough week but it’ll get figured out! Get your money!!!!!!
