roxman68 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
13. I would tell the customers who are waiting to be patient and I will help them soon
roxman68 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
7. Yes that’s actually pretty easy for me I can’t do slow
roxman68 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
6. I have high intelligence so I can remember the drinks fast
roxman68 [OP] 0 points 2y ago
5. I am good with teams as long as everyone works hard and treats each other with respect
roxman68 [OP] -2 points 2y ago
12. I need to meet with my manager to talk about the schedule before every week. It depends because some weekends and holidays I have things going on because of my hobbies so I might have to work around that
verytiredbarista 3 points 2y ago
This is not gonna work. Jobs like people with consistent availabilities, they’re not gonna meet with you every week to plan their work schedule around your hobbies. You need to either create an availability that works, or plan Your hobbies around your work schedule
roxman68 [OP] -2 points 2y ago
Okay as long as I’m off on weekends then it shouldn’t be a problem. I also don’t want to work open cause I heard you have to wake up at 3 am. So I just want afternoon shifts Monday through Friday and that’s consistent
roxman68 [OP] -2 points 2y ago
10. (I would have to lie on this) I want to own one of the stores, especially this one and work in the corporate office
verytiredbarista 4 points 2y ago
Don’t lie and don’t say you’re aiming for the managers job or to be their boss
roxman68 [OP] 0 points 2y ago
Well I’m not going to say that I’m going to be working the same job
roxman68 [OP] -2 points 2y ago
8. I already answered this
roxman68 [OP] -2 points 2y ago
1. I want to work at Starbucks because making the drinks seem fun and I like talking to people. I also think it’s cool how you get free drinks and food when you work.
2. I would ask the customer what they ordered and if it matches what I made them then I will not give them another drink. If the drink is wrong then I will make it again no questions ask.
3. It means to be nice to customers and treat them with respect if they treat you with respect.
4. I would tell the customer we are out of it and say sorry.
dragonfruitte 3 points 2y ago
for #4. u should apologize but also suggest something similar off the menu for them to get instead
roxman68 [OP] -1 points 2y ago
Like what?
verytiredbarista 1 points 2y ago
Well it would depend on what they ordered
randommuses -4 points 2y ago
You can't possibly read their minds. Your original response was perfect.
planetsman 1 points 2y ago
So far so good!
roxman68 [OP] -1 points 2y ago
11. This is a hard one cause I don’t make mistakes. If I did I would probably apologize and fix whatever I did wrong but this probably wouldn’t happen
verytiredbarista 3 points 2y ago
Everyone makes mistakes, especially in a brand new job. Saying you don’t means you’re not willing to learn or take criticism.
roxman68 [OP] -2 points 2y ago
I’m willing to learn and take criticism but only if I actually made a mistake
roxman68 [OP] -1 points 2y ago
9. I tell them that if they want service they need to treat the baristas with respect
Pixelology 1 points 2y ago
Your university probably has a career center that offers mock interviews
roxman68 [OP] 0 points 2y ago
I withdrew for the semester
Pixelology 1 points 2y ago
Are you no longer enrolled at all?
roxman68 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
I’m taking a break
Pixelology 1 points 2y ago
Either you're taking a break and you're still considered a student or you're done for good and no longer considered a student.
planetsman -2 points 2y ago
Yeah your answers are great. I don't really see much room for improvement here.
roxman68 [OP] -1 points 2y ago
Thanks but can I get some feedback from others who have worked for Starbucks please
YorkTownBratty 4 points 2y ago
Definitely don’t say that you want to work there because you get free food and drinks. Never say that you want to work somewhere because of free stuff. Say something like “I want to work at Starbucks because I love the welcoming environment. The baristas are always lovely and make my day when I come in. I would love to play a role in creating that atmosphere. I’m so excited at the possible opportunity to work with the customers and maximize the positive feedback that we receive! Starbucks really is a home away from home and I would love to have the chance to really promote those core values!”
roxman68 [OP] 1 points 2y ago
That is a great answer. I’ll try to memorize this
YorkTownBratty 3 points 2y ago
mention the home away from home feel and how accommodating and kind you would be with the customers. Also if someone says that their drink is wrong, even if you know that you made it right, just remake it. If you’re busy then apologize and tell them that it’ll be just a moment but they will get the drink they want.
roxman68 [OP] -5 points 2y ago
Yeah but then they are scamming you
kitcat1210 5 points 2y ago
If you get the job, youre gonna realize real quick Starbucks doesnt care. If you really wanna give a good answer say “I would want to make the moment right for the customer. I would apologize for the mistake and remake it for them.” That’s what Starbucks wants to hear. If you say you wouldn’t remake a drink, you wont get the job.
