Isn’t it just great that we put a lid right on top 😭 I’ve had a lady open the lid and check for a dot.. Thank god it was there because I wasn’t about to argue about the foam touching the lid lol

People actually do this??? Why on EARTH would you open the lid and check for a dot. Who cares? Does the dot add something to the flavor of the coffee?? If the dot is missing or askew, is your coffee and thus your day ruined??? I don't get people.

It actually makes the drink taste different if you don't slow pour and at least try to make the dot. But most people who remove the lid don't notice and just want to complain about anything they can.

One time, about a month ago, I had a lady come in and ask for a savory drink. I immediately jumped to the flat white—our most delicate and artfully crafted beverage in a core store. I explained the history of a flat white, where it comes from, the recommended size and ratio, I talked about the espresso.
And she’s goes “nah I want a caramel frappe”
