Ear piercings (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by temporarynothings
I’ve been looking to get my ears pierced lately and realized there’s one problem that could hurt the healing process: nasty headsets. My ears haven’t been pierced in over 10 years because I always ended up with a horrible infection. I forgot about the headsets somehow, and thinking about putting it off because I just can’t risk infections or the jewelry getting caught

So unless anyone has tips they’d like to share for healing lobe piercings while wearing a headset 👉👈

Wipe ear piece with sani wipe before putting on. Clean peircings right after shift.

so i have short hair that i wear down and that was kinda like a barrier between the headset and my freshly pierced ears but also use the sanitizer wipes to clean the headset and try not to move it around too much. make sure you clean it before and after every shift!!i would also maybe recommend a hoop earring so the backing doesn’t snag on the headset or cause unnecessary pressure

Make sure you’re using the cleaning solution especially after work. I wasn’t after I got my second piercing and the side I wear my headset on started bleeding and getting red.

stupid solution on my part maybe but i just put bandaids over my ear piercings + sani wiping headsets

My rook and cartilage piercings got so irritated by the headset that I had to take them out. They weren’t brand new either, over a year old.
edit rook not room lololol
