Hey fellow barista any suggestions for transferring to an out of state store? 😌 Love my store and partners! But time for grad school…

call sooner rather than later. I just called to get transferred to a store near my college and they already had a ton of people calling who needed to transfer as well for the school year.

def call sooner rather than later. if you're trying to transfer for school i'd start calling stores now to try and figure out a transfer since it could take time to get all the transfer papers sent between the managers. i transfer between home and an out of state store for the same reason, so that i have a job in college. in my experience most stores are more than happy to have you transfer in, they'd prefer a transfer over a new hire. you just have to make sure you call in time
also make sure you mention to your current manager that you are looking into transferring. you can either mention it now or after you find a store that's interested in having you transfer. make sure you have both of your managers numbers and the district managers name.
