QUESTION: when working for the starbucks company, we get benefits like spotify, therapy, etc etc. if I was to switch to a target starbucks instead of a starbucks, do I still keep those benefits with just a pay change? (self.starbucksbaristas)

you get whatever benefits target employees get, not starbucks benifits

This is correct. I work in one in a grocery store and I don't get any of the perks you mentioned. I DO get to be in the local grocery union, which has saved my bacon more than once, so that's nice.

What the other person said^ if you go to work at Starbcuks inside a target, you are a target employee. Not a Starbucks one.

Dont do it! Targets benefits dont come CLOSE. You dont get free food/drink, medical w/pt hours, no therapy, no Spotify, NO stock (!!!), no ASU. You work, and dont get to chose hrs because Target honestly has the worst HR, and benefits are 1/4 what Starbucks gives. <worked there 2 yrs, even was a manager>

I personally disagree, I’m leaving corporate to go back to Target because pay and benefits is not as good, by a mile. I have a couple thousand in retirement savings in a 401k that Target matches 50%, they offer similar therapy benefits, I got a lot of vacation PTO, medical/vision, plus the discounts I used on things like expensive tech items, clothing, food, pet food. etc etc. I never drank enough starbucks or brew enough beans at home to make it worth more than better pay. During covid times our district manager allowed us one drink per shift, which was new, and they started allowing us to take tips when the customer insists, which we personally got to keep whatever was handed to us. Plus when our starbucks closed down during covid, the store let us work whatever location we wanted to to keep our hours. Most of us moved to working overnights until we opened our kiosk back up. I’ll be glad to not have to do trash runs and clean bathrooms anymore.

You guys get Spotify too? They only give us headspace here in the UK. Its not franchise, it's actual Starbucks.

yeah we do! i’m sorry they don’t give it to you, that is so sucky. we get headspace as well though. I don’t know how you could go up the chain of fixing that?? all I know is you deserve it :)

Well I'll definitely ask my DM! We probably are last in line to get the benefits that US has (as always). At least we get shares too

No. You lose all benefits offered by Starbucks. The only difference is you’ll be an employee of the store your Starbucks is in. Like if it’s in a target you work for target not Starbucks.

Don’t do it. I worked at a Target Starbucks for 2yrs. You’re a Target employee so you don’t get ANY partner perks. No free anything!! Plus the pay is less. We weren’t even allowed to accept tips
