It's your final shift what are they going to do write you up? Shit if you're lucky they'll just Send you home

Tbh, if it’s your last shift I say keep em, no sense in spending the money on acrylics just to take them off for one shift

It’s your last shift just wear them I wouldn’t care and I’m gonna do the same thing on my last day which is hopefully soon.

Imo the thing about acrylic nails is that they're unsafe when working in hospitality. It's all about food safety and not style. I'd say that even if nobody notices, you should take them off. Don't get me wrong, I hate not wearing my watch and bracelets but we gotta think about safety. Plus if in any case, no matter how good they're put on, if one of them falls in a coffee you're all sued! No need to risk it. I can't even count the times I've found shit in my food/drink seriously. So yeah, take them off I'd say. (I didn't want sue btw, I'm not an a**hole)

I don’t know Starbucks is really strict with certain things. My mom is a nurse who works in labor and delivery and she’s shocked at the stuff we can’t do that she can. Like she can have her nails painted (don’t know about acrylic because she doesn’t wear fake nails) and wear watches and bracelets. I also don’t remember ever finding anything that fell into a food or drink that I’ve purchased but I’d probably take them off because Starbucks wants us to.

I would just take them off. They’re still not allowed, gloves or not. Also gloves all day is awful 😂 but they’re both against company policy as well as dress code

so should i go to the nail salon and get them off?

If your shift or sm doesn’t say anything I would leave them on

You are allowed to wear them with gloves but my old manager still sent me home when I did this once even after offering to bite them off

if it wasn’t your last shift I’d say take them off, but it’s your last shift bro. don’t worry about it. plus removing acrylics that new leaves your nails really tender even with the most careful nail tech. offer to wear gloves or ask to be on DTO/DTR/front where you’re not making food/drinks/product. the worst thing they can do since it’s your last shift do is send you home but i doubt they’d even do that and risk being understaffed over something so small.
(proof: my ex coworker did the very same thing, she just wore gloves & worked as DTO that shift and it was NBD)
