I applied to be a Starbucks partner, haven’t heard anything back getting nervous. How long did it take for you guys for them to respond? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I just really need/want this job right now and am scared that I won’t get it.

Would love some either horrifying or comforting responses lol!

I called; went to a store; and did not get the job… :(

A few days, but I was friends with a friend of an shift lead at the store I applied to.

Also, have you considered working *literally anywhere else*?

Yes, I currently have a job at Miccie D’s however I get paid 5,60$ at Starbucks I’d get paid 10,50$.

So yes I’d rather work at Starbucks.

That's wild, where I live Starbucks pays $10/h but McDonald's pays $12/h. SB is literally the lowest paying fast food gig around here at this point.

Have you considered remote call center work? Pays upwards of 20$ an hour with no experience/qualifications needed.

I applied for a job and waited more than 2 weeks for a response. After I went into the store and asked to see the hiring manager and introduced myself, my interview was literally 2 days later. (I got hired the next day, and I start my training in a week!)

Yes so I called like everybody suggested and they referred me to (physically) go speak with the manager and bring my resume.

I love that you just commented this right when I’m about to head over. I’ll be back later tonight and then I’ll give you the final or second to last update. :DDD

I heard back after a few months, when a lot of people had just quit and the store was really desperate. You might be in luck because more people are quitting than ever right now.

omg i literally applied to starbucks for like 4 years before getting a call. call them and check in. a lot of places don’t check their online applications so calling will put you on their radar

for me it took like 3 weeks, bc they gave my application to a neighboring store that needed coverage more than the one i applied to. if u dont hear back after like 2 weeks i would call/go to the store. some managers might appreciate that initiative.

The first store I applied to got back to me the same day with an email for an interview. I didn't get hired at that store, but got a call like a day later to go to a job fair for every Starbucks in my area that was trying to hire. I then got hired a few days after that, and have had my first week already. I got hired for a brand new store that is opening up in a few months.

It was wild how fast it went. I never even needed to call them to put it on their radar. I guess they were really needing new people. I wonder why looking at Reddit and everyone complaining here, and also how Covid has been.

Mine I think was right time and all that. I live in Southern CA, and Disneyland has recently opened back up so a lot of the people who were at Starbucks left to go back to Disneyland, so the Starbucks needed to refill their numbers. I actually asked the managers about it in my interview.
