Fun and nice things to do for coworkers? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by CommercialRound2197
Hey y’all! So, as many of you are experiencing or know of people experiencing, my coworkers are all on the last straw. We have been berated by customers, are running out of everything, have a bad manager, and our back room is 90 fucking degrees. I have a coworker who is having relationship issues, one who isn’t getting paid for the hours of babysitting she did, coworkers who’s mental health is decreasing because of the stress we are facing. I have family issues going on. We’re all facing our own problems in life and work is only making it worse for most if not all of us.

Personally, I still love my job. It’s the best one I’ve ever had! And being an optimist, it pains me to see people I care about so much feeling this much pain. I’m ready to make a difference or a change, and if not that then I’m at least ready to just brighten one of their days and help them push through these tough times.

Does anyone have any ideas of things they’d want or be happy to see/receive? What are good things to do for or with coworkers? I saw someone post a bagel bar they made for their coworkers once on here and I kinda like that idea :)

Thank you all!!

My manager buys snacks and we have a snack basket. It’s small but it’s something that just brightens all of our days. This week she brought rice crispy treats, Pringles, sour patch kids, cheeze-it, and bite size pop tarts. Idk man, makes me happy lol

i work at starbucks as well. I buy my coworkers chocolate or pens (sometimes ones that are shaped like animals).my coworkers also really like notes that just say how much they mean to you or how well they’re doing

Ahh I love this! And yes like we have the green apron cards but no one does them, thinking about writing everyone one weekly or biweekly

Yes we don’t do them that often which i think makes it even better when someone does receive one :)
