When people come up to order in the cafe and (outside of using their phone to communicate because of some valid reason) show you a screenshot of some grainy TikTok or their Starbucks app because they can’t be bothered to read it off? I am mildly dyslexic and jumping back and forth between the drink build on my screen and theirs means I’ll probably miss stuff, I have to read it back to them anyway so they have to read it too. Idk it just irks me lol, what are little things that perturb you?

my favorite is when people come up to the mobile section of the bar and start telling me what they want as if it's the register. it's ESPECIALLY good when there's literally a line at the register

I feel like people immediately get dumb when they walk in. Like where WHERE do you go that you don’t order at a register??? Especially when you’re on bar and making drinks and they’re ordering and you’re like … ok and ?? The register is over there??

Deconstructing and rebuilding custom cold foams. Right now we've seen so many customers asking for CF made with heavy cream and SFV or adding a bunch of random shit to VSCCF. Do these people go to McDonalds and ask them to reconstruct their Secret Sauce too? Smh.

I also went through the trouble of reading a messy 6+ modifier order off a phone, looked at the person & went to read it back “to be sure I’ve got everything” & rather than look at the phone herself, she tried to press it back against the plexi. Honey, please help me help you.

I’ve only had people do this because they don’t speak English and don’t want to feel embarrassed trying to read off the app. But I have heard a customer show one of my coworkers a tiktok video for a drink recipe (and I thought it was funny bc I really didn’t like this coworker).

Yeah when people have anxiety or a difference in our modes of communication then I don’t mind it at all! It’s just like, when they are like “okay, hahaha here’s what I want!” And it’s a huge list of things screenshotted or something

I did have someone show me 4 secret menu drinks on Twitter and then someone show me the same ones on Facebook. Both times they were adding one of them at the window and didn’t order it at the order box.

the other day some child literally just pressed play on a tiktok and was trying to make me watch it. i just said “sorry if it’s not a screenshot i can’t do that” and guess what she ordered? a strawberry creme frap 😘 MAJOR DUBB!!
