Im a supervisor at a little shop inside a hospital. Recent events have led me to put in my resignation. Things like my GM not correction an action an employee is doing, but going to my manager and him messaging me at home about it. The GM disciplining an employee for going to the bathroom (truly). Our inability to keep stock and management not putting in any effort to find out why or to find a workaround. Our managers simply refusing to find solutions to simple problems. We are no longer allowed to close for breaks or to stock up even when there’s only one person working…Etc.
So anyway, I’m quitting. In the mean time I want to finish some projects we started. One main project is revamping our menu which means finalizing prices and updating our registers to reflect this. I’ve asked management is this something they want to do and they said yes. But when I sent them the information to move forward, they don’t get back to me. No reply at all, not even a “I’m going to look at this later”.
My question is do I give up on this and focus on other projects or keep pestering?
I sent multiple messages and emails about it, and I know they read them.
I’m just trying to make this transition simple and not leave a lot of work for the next supervisor or let this work fall on one of the regular baristas who didn’t ask for it. I’m trying to help but it’s like they’re not letting me.
Another option is just to print out the new menu and prices and post them for the customers but if management is going to want to change the menu prices then what’s the point?
Also I’m really pushing for these types of things to get done because I’m using personal accounts like photoshop to get them done. And they won’t have access to the files nor the project once I leave.
Any advice about this would be great! I’m really frustrated and so glad I’m leaving but like I said, I’m trying to help!!
