If you have to work in the service industry, yes. If you can think of any other option, absolutely not.

Pretty sure both Walmart and McDonald’s pay more and are less work.

I worked at McDonald’s before starbs and starbs is way better
SnooDonuts3398 1 points 2y ago
That’s probably true. My district starts baristas a few dollars above what the other service places are offering, at least that I’ve seen. McDonald’s is only offering (up to) $11/hr to our guaranteed $13-14/hr depending on the store for baristas.

Starbucks has some decent benefits if you don't care too much about pay.

Spotify premium, free drinks and food, 30% off (at any corporate location), and 1 lb of coffee a week! I think that's all, I just started my time there!

Also there's the ASU college thingy if you want that eventually, and healthcare (but I don't think you'll need that at 16 unless you really want it).

Yeah, the Healthcare, dental, and vision plans are actually pretty decent at least in my area. And the free tuition to ASU is 👌

I work at Sbux solely for the ASU benefit lmao

nonononononono do NOT it isn't worth your efforts unless you're going to take advantage of the free college program. otherwise just work at a grocery store and do WAY less work for equal pay.

Yes. As far as food service goes, Starbucks is the best out there, even though it has its own downsides sometimes. Take advantage of all the benefits too, including the bachelor's degree program. I worked there for 4 years and grew a lot as a person, learned a lot of things about myself and how to be more assertive when necessary.

Idk your personal situation but you can expect to work strenuously if your store has a drive-thru. If anything choosing to work there will give you a feel of how the food service industry is. Spoiler alert: it ain’t for the faint-hearted.

It depends.

You may only enjoy this job if you have intrinsic reasons to do it.

If you are doing it solely for the money, there are easier jobs out there that pay more.

It's a good job if you are looking to be physically, mentally, and socially active.

I’m glad you were able to dodge a bullet then :) good luck on your job hunt!

What are some easier jobs that pay more bc I haven’t seen any other job top 15 dollars plus benefits
stealingsight 1 points 2y ago
Your mileage may vary on easiness, but here are a few comparable careers:

Hospital entry level work (server, transporter), big bonus if it’s government sponsored.

Office jobs— essentially pushing pencils. If that’s what you’re interested you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Entertainment. If you have the body, why not use it?

Wage is relative to location so the whole $15 thing doesn’t apply by the way
