Has anyone else been scheduled for non-coverage hours when you do work coverage? Would there be a legitimate reason for this?

It’s a way to get more coverage! not always the case, but my manager uses it as a loop hole on days he knows we need more partners. There’s an hour-allowance on scheduling, but you can still schedule non-coverage out side of that. The only downside is that those hours won’t be accounted for or reflected in your tip-able hours. I say just reach out and ask your manager, or whoever is making the schedules. :)

All store hours except new store labor will show up on your tip report

Yeah, I'll do that. I'm sure that what you said is the case, that my manager thinks we need more partners on the floor than scheduling will allow for

usually when we do clean play my manager schedules it as non coverage idk

Yeah, I was scheduled a couple times as entire shifts of non-coverage, when I wasn't doing clean play or clean play tasks, tips, or anything like that that happens "off the floor"

Coverage is when you’re on the floor and non coverage is when you’re not. When I do tips it’s considered non coverage because I’m in the back and not doing anything on the floor. When I sit down and connect with my manager it’s considered non coverage.
