Customer: “I’d like an iced caramel macchiato plz”

Me for the 100th time in a row: “I’m so sorry, we’re out of caramel drizzle that goes on top-“ gets cut off.

Customer: “I don’t care, that’s fine.”

Me: “Well, without the caramel drizzle the drink becomes an upside down vanilla latte- we can add caramel syrup for the caramel flavor, or dark caramel sauce on top which will be closest to a drizzle.”

Customer: “…. So you don’t have the drizzle?”

I literally had a customer get mad at me yesterday because we ran out of venti (and trenta )cups so she couldn't get her venti pink drink....and then immediately ask if she could get "just a venti water" instead. Like, how?

some lady wanted to get me fired the other day cause we were out of the guava juice, she’s been coming in for weeks asking for it and i guess it was the final straw bc she threw a tantrum and wouldn’t leave until she could get someone to confirm i’d be fired…..like lady i don’t control the guava

Me: We're out of all breakfast sandwiches besides the Double Smoked Bacon.

Customer: Do you have the Impossible?

Me: 😐

One time when I worked at a licensed store, our espresso machine went down and we stayed open for some reason. There was a large sign by the register that explained that our espresso machine was broken for the time being and had a list of other menu items we could make instead, btw.

Customer: Can I get a hot white chocolate mocha?
Me: Unfortunately, our espresso machine is down, but I can make you something else if you'd like
Customer: Okay, can I get an iced white chocolate mocha?
Me: Sorry, since our espresso machine is down we cannot pull espresso shots for any drink. I can suggest a white chocolate mocha frappuccino though?

Customer: Okay, can I get an extra shot in that?

Me: Unfortunately, I cannot add espresso shots to your drink because our espresso machine is down.

Customer: Oh. Okay I'll take, that then; without the extra shot.

Very nice customer. Did not seem to know what went into her drink. I think about her sometimes.

“Can I have a Peach Green Tea Lemonade?”

“Sorry, we’re out of our peach and guava juice.”

“Oh, can I have a guava passion fruit drink then?”

“No, we are out of our guava juice.”

It annoys me so much when I tell people what we don't have, then list off what we do have, and then they ask for something I said we didn't have. I genuinely don't understand how it's so hard for someone to pay attention.

“Unfortunately, we are out of all of our cake pops.” “Okay, but can I have a chocolate cake pop?”

Me:“I’m sorry we’re out of all our refreshers right now can I get you a tea instead”
Customer: “Ya can I get a peach green tea”
Me: “I’m sorry we are actually out of peach and green tea”
Customer: “Oh ok can I get a cinnamon dolce latte instead”
Me: “We are actually out of that too and the toffee nut we do have Carmel vanilla or brown sugar syrup”
Customer: “Ok I’ll get a Carmel macchiato instead”
Me: “Ummmm sooo we’re out of Carmel drizzle too I am so sorry”
