how to deal with a weird ex-partner(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by strwbryheart
so to try and condense this all in something short: our store has been a mess with staffing problems and our manager recently quit along with 3 other baristas so we had to close early/be closed for several days. however this ex-partner that was fired (i feel like i should mention they were constant drama while they worked with us) has continued to visit our store to try to get free drinks while using someone’s partner numbers. it wasn’t too bad till today when they texted an old group chat we used and was being petty and saying stuff like “couldn’t last without me huh”. i don’t know if there’s a way to bring this up with corporate or maybe my DM but it feels almost like harassment and i wish this person would just let go of starbucks already.

i mean, don’t let them use other partners numbers lol. if you give them attention you’re feeding the flame. just ignore them, they’ll get bored enough and stop

oh of course, i never rung them up with the numbers they were using but other partners would ring those numbers up anyway for some reason

Tell your manager. At the very least they can make a post about how no one should be giving out partner numbers and that they must always check identity when ringing them up. This might keep other batista from ringing them up so they'll stop. They might even get banned from the store

Block that partner, first of all. If you can leave the old group chat, I would do that too. But also, definitely tell the manager as that could become an incident report if the former partner keeps escalating.
If the former partner then begins to target you, tbh I would start mentally preparing myself to phone the police for harassment charges
