My boyfriend had his ssv interview on Tuesday. The next day the store manager that interviewed him called and said he did a really good job and he’s just about ready but not 100% there yet and that they’re gonna be connecting a lot for the next three months. Does that mean he got the job? I’m so confused lol

That sounds like a, “sorry, ask me again in three months”.

That’s what I was thinking lol, I wish they would just outright say that though if that’s the case :/

They don't want him to quit so they're stringing him along with the promise of a promotion lol

They just gave him a 2 dollar raise so he’s making what he would have been making as a shift lmao Starbucks is so confusing lol

Likely means its a no but he did good enough to the point that if another store has the position they will offer it to him.

I’m a ssv and I can tell you from experience that they never say no. One of my baristas has been working towards becoming a ssv for the past 4 months. Not because they aren’t qualified but because the still had some growth. Being a ssv is a lot of responsibility and the sm and dm need to trust you 100%. You hold a key to the store, safe codes, alarm codes, handle money, and are in charge 99% of the time. What’s probably going to happen is the sm is going to connect with him over the next 3 months to get him more ready for his new role. Personally, I’d tell him to read the ops excellence guide.
