Grande wholesome rant (self.starbucksbaristas)

So I’ve been working at Starbucks for almost a year now, and I have had such a love hate relation with this job for a good portion of it; But, the one thing that always pulls me back in, is the fact that my coworkers always find a way to make me smile everyday.

Today was a really bad day, it ended up being me and a shift closing (I work in a kiosk in a mall). One of my coworkers agreed to stay till 5:30, and my manager went to do the pull at about 5 (she had her lunch and then I was finishing up on CS which took a sec). So, my coworker was very set at leaving at 5:30, so I would have had to solo for a sec. The shift finished the pull but didn’t date the food (we don’t have stickers for our sticker gun) so she planned to do it after close, of which ofc I agreed to help. So the day sucked, but we were making jokes and talking the whole close which made it a little less sucky. I ended up having to date 82 stickers for the pull (trust me I’m EXTREMELY relived I don’t work at an actual store, trust me I know.), which wasn’t that bad, and we ended up getting that and a small restock for the next day done.

My point is, that even though the job might not always be the best, the people around you can be.

TL;DR: I love my coworkers and they make this job better than what they offer
