Are y’all gonna put chairs on that end? I visited another location today that had a bar like that on one end for customers to sit at. As a barista that would make me so self-conscious

Hmm I guess it's an unpopular opinion but I love it when customers watch me. There's definitely a performance art aspect to the job and tbh some of these drinks we make are kinda rad.

I don’t think so. I think that’s the mobile order handoff station. The table doesn’t extend far enough to put chairs under it

When I first got hired, I worked at a cafe store that had 4 seats at the end of the bar. They would face the same way you’re thinking the seats would be in this photo. Honestly occasionally there would be the back seat barista that sat there but most the time it was the regulars who sat there who were very chill and were not the type to complain. Everyone else seems to want to avoid those kind of seats unless that’s all that’s open.

we’re the second highest volume store in the district and the amount of mobiles we get is insane!! we used to have a teeny tiny handoff spot so we are all so happy that it can finally fit everything

ovens are back in the corner! you can’t really see the pastry case from this angle but it’s there. and we are a very high volume cafe store, but i would estimate that about half of our sales come from mobile.

I *think* that’s sort of how our store may be setup after our remodel. My manager says things and I’m just like ‘uh-huh, yeah I understand’ lol. We are a DT store though. We have to walk all our mobiles past our ovens currently and it’s really the worst.
