Would it be feasible for you to just do school and the weekend job?

Also, getting partner of the quarter because you were killing yourself for the company and being told you need a lot of "accomodations" for trying to live your life and build a future is horseshit.

that’s actually what I plan to do bc my major is super hard and I don’t think I can balance both jobs! so I think i’ll cut sbux off for now and just focus on school and my other job! and thank you for that insight. my store is honestly terrible. our customer connection is 21, no one cares and it’s just bad management. so it’s time for me to leave

I'm so happy for you that you have that flexibility!

Enjoy school, and the extra energy you'll be able to put into it not being dragged down by this job.

i’m in the same boat. went from partner of the quarter to only getting through a shift by daydreaming of putting in my notice

People are probably treating you that way because you’re leaving them short staffed due to the planning on your end.

This is why those grace periods exist.

Also, I know this sounds heartless, but just because you snag shifts to help someone, doesn’t mean they owe you back. I’ve learned that lesson HARD

I disagree respectfully. we’re short staffed due to poor management. not me. the faults of a billion dollar corporation does not weigh on my back. I have bills to pay and my other job pays much more than starbucks. it wasn’t just poor planning it was blatant ignorance of the manager not working with me when he said he would because he knows my personal situation. and it was partners being rude and disrespectful not knowing my full story.

As a partner who has worked in the highest volume store in their district who has had to deal with way more than their fair share of call offs;

Your life is your life. You are expected to have it in order. You did not and because of that, your team is now going to pay a price. That is on you. I assume based on the several jobs that you’re an adult.

Act like it.

for one, i’m 18. and i’m new to balancing my own bills and two jobs at the same time. and i’m not going to have anyone guilt trip me into “getting my life together” when you have no idea what my life is like. you don’t even know how much I make at starbucks compared to the other starbucks in my district. nor do you know that my store manager has tried to come onto me twice, my shift manager has called me a racial slur and the other baristas have done so much worse than I have. I didn’t think I needed to give that full story to get my point across. and my post didn’t ask for randoms to judge me. I asked for help. next time, choose to keep your opinion to yourself. and also, idk where people get this “pride” from with minimum wage jobs and toxic companies. you can be replaced just as quickly as I can.

Sounds like you need to mature a little and stand up for yourself to the people who did those things to you.

Good luck in life. Victim is a bad look on you btw.

It may be easier for you to put in a transfer request if you were going to look for a new store anyway. That way, you're still getting hours toward your benefits. Plus, it's easier to transfer than it is to quit and reapply.

tried that. he said no :( just a blatant no
