stickers end up getting lost, drinks get spilled on them & then they won’t stick to cups, and then I have a line of angry people up my ass because I don’t know where their drink sticker is. it stresses the fuck out of me to see 15+ stickers pulled at a time, because more will keep printing, and it’s like my brain just says “NOPE” and shuts off. completely ruins my flow.

I tell my sm/ssv/fellow baristas these things and their only response is “yeah but I need to see how far we’re behind / get drinks out faster” do they think that by pulling 10 stickers I can suddenly make 10 drinks at once??? no, I can only make 2, 3 MAX (4 if I really try hard enough but it always ends bad), and will intentionally “lose” stickers just to prove a point.

There is really simple work around to just grabbing stickers to remove the they're looking for too. "Hey I got that water coming up, don't make it" or typing "don't make" in the ask me.

I feel this so hard. It takes everything in me not to start swatting at fingers like a grade school nun.

YUP! I had our new green bean on front while I was cafe bar and he pulled all my stickers to get a Venti Pike sticker. I had to gently as possible explain that while there is a designated cafe bar, just worry abt the front. He didnt even put them in order, they were all over and out of order. It drives me NUTS!

I'm a green bean and I always ask the person on bar if they care or not before I go through and find stickers! If they say that they don't want me to do so then I don't. But half of my fellow partners don't care as long as I keep them in order and I don't pull more than 4 or 5 at a time, the other half definitely don't like it which I totally respect!

For me, it'll depend on how many are pulled. I'm fine with looking down and seeing like 4 cups waiting for me but any more than that and I'm like "alright imma need you to cease pulling stickers now cuz anxietyyyyyyy".

Yesssss!!!! I always have pos grab their own waters when I’m on bar, and my rule on bar is to not pull my stickers 🤣🤣

i really don’t want to be that person that does this but when i’m cold bar, sometimes i forget drinks. so i have to pull the hot bar stickers out first to get to them. or sometimes the person on bar forgets to pull them :/

I thought there was nothing worse than a bar partner that puts stickers across the counter until the one that puts them on cups and leaves them around and forgets about them or does them unreasonably out of order.

You just described my old SM 🥴 sometimes when you're on cold bar he would just start your hot bar drinks while taking orders on dto and then say I need to sequence better like, dude you're literally making my drinks why should I walk back over there when you're DOING MY JOB WITH OUT ME ASKING FOR SUPPORT
