No, you're not a buffoon. People think that because it's an entry level job it's easy. Nooooooooo. No sir. There is So. Much. to learn, and all different sorts of learning. Tons and tons of info and routines to memorize, and muscle memory for lots of different tasks, and training your brain to multitask, some of which may be speaking in one conversation and listening to a different one simultaneously, which is ridiculous. And your goal is to do it all as fast and smoothly as possible as quickly as possible while also being in an apparently great mood. It's a hell of a lot to ask.
So ask everything. All your questions. All day long. Ask until you're sure you know the answer. I never mind answering questions because it means that people care about getting it right and are learning. If you get moved off bar because you can't keep up, don't take it personally. You'll get back there when it's less overwhelming and you'll be able to learn until you can be one of the fast ones.

I’m on the same boat ): I started a month ago and everyone’s so fast at making drinks and I’m so slow compared to them. The amount of time I was making one refresher, it took my shift 2 refreshers. I don’t want to be seen as a dumbass to them but I can’t help it. I don’t want them to judge me but they’re all experienced and know everything. It’ll take some time to get their flow.

I’ve been a shift since December and I make dumb mistakes on bar😁 I hope your coworkers will be patient with you. You’ll get there.
