I know there’s lot of rumors going around, but I’ve been told from management to watch for the update today. I’m not at the store, and I was wondering if anyone’s heard anything

Nothing here since yesterday.
I don’t understand how this company can be forward thinking on everything else but can’t compete with wages.

What, 15/hr by 2023 (when it should be 24/hr) isn’t forward thinking enough for you ????? /s

My store just got bumped to 12/hr for barista
BeardiesRule11221 points2y ago
12/hr is still a poverty wage.
Crowchick17316 points2y ago
It's still better than making 10 an hour
Sad-Passenger45324 points2y ago
Barista’s should make $15! At least

Thanks for sharing! How did you hear?
muoshroom3 points2y ago
our sm told us about the 12/hr raise and that it should be shown in our next paystub
Crowchick17311 points2y ago
My sm told all of us last week that it was active

Commenting to follow for updates since I’m not working today👀👀👀

Where do you check for raises/hourly wage you make? I haven’t heard anything about it :/
Spanisheyes1883 points2y ago
Our baristas got 12 and shifts at least 15 starting last week. So the next pay cycle will reflect any increase.

Raises all location wide do not typically happen in the middle of the year, they happen at the end/beginning. There have been some states it sounds like on the east coast raising their minimums to non-poverty wages. I don’t think there are gonna be raises in the west coast when many of those states already require 13-15 starting but I could be wrong. Any sources to all states being included in these raises?

That’s what I’ve been wondering. My store is located in Kansas, so despite being in KC, our baristas are still starting at $9 and it’s rough :/

My store in TN got one, heard it was the whole district im in. My old store went to 12/hr good for them.

Our DM told us in May that corporate was planning to gradually increase everyone to a minimum of $15/hour (and I think 18 for shifts?) over the next 3 years, but I haven’t heard anything since
