so my store manager brags about me to other stores and the DM to the point that if i go to stores in my district they recognize my name and my DM always makes sure to greet me by name. no one has ever heard them say anything negative about me but to my face says i’m not doing things correctly or tells me i’m not ready.
i recently got promoted to shift and my training was streamlined and dealing with the pressure from the face i’m known but never being uplifted is making me so stressed, i’ve had a migraine for days

Lately I’ve just been taking things one shift at a time, sometimes even one peak at a time, and I found that helps a lot. They definitely do feed us to the wolves but you can overcome that! It sounds like you did great as a barista and being a shift is only a few things added on to that. Worst comes to worse you can always step down from the position if it’s not the right fit fit you. We don’t get paid enough to stress that much my friend!
