Just ask your manager to at least close early and make a tribute to the late partner. I’d give you a hug if I was there. That’s a huge loss not just for you but for the store as well. My condolence from SB store in Austin, TX 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you. I really appreciate the kind words. We at least have mobiles off for now so I suppose that's something.

So sorry to know you and other partners have to go through this, especially you and that partner were really close friends

Assuming most of the partners knew them, it’s hard to imagine that any of you can function to well. Maybe close the store and have sometime to process together.

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. The summer I started, we had a partner pass away unexpectedly. I never knew them, but I heard a lot about them. Something we did as a tribute was a shadow box with an apron signed by everyone who knew them, and we also took donations among partners and spread the word to regulars who knew them about the Go Fund Me for the family. It was small, but I think having a way to help that partner’s family get through it easier helped everyone heal a little bit. Our manager also arranged for partners from others stores to completely cover our store the day of the funeral so anyone who wanted to attend could.

Losing someone is horrible. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I don’t know if anything I said can be of help, but remember to lean on your partners.

I'm so sorry for your loss. The death of someone you care for is always hard, but it sounds like you and your coworkers have a solid network to rely on each other. Make sure you guys are taking care of yourselves, and don't be afraid to seek out a grief counselor if the need arises.
