hate post for the sponges we are supplied. starbucks really said let’s give them the cheapest, most flimsy sponges (i.redd.it)

Ummm dark blue is a thug. If you can’t get it off with big blue, big blue ain’t the problem.

Thin sponges don’t encourage bacterial growth like the thick squishy ones do. It’s more sanitary this way.

Cut em in half and that helps

My SM told us Ecosure would dock us points if we used anything other than the blue bois they sent us.

I have never seen this on the audit form, and I have not tested the assertion. 🤷‍♀️

It is definitely on the audit form (I love doing saftey/sanitation audits 😊) that they make sure you aren't using anything but the blue bois. Ecosure will definitely dock points.

i bring my own sponges to clean the drains that’s how much i hate these
jdestinyp 5 points 2y ago
You use the sponges to clean the drains? Like the part in the floor??
xEman26x 9 points 2y ago
If you look at the clean, safe, ready video when scanning the dishwasher card it’s actually standard
jdestinyp 2 points 2y ago
Oh wow. We have a longer handled shrub brush I always use, mostly because ours are super hidden in the floor behind the cabinets and it’s nearly impossible to reach back there to clean anyways without getting coated finger to elbow in bleach and rotting inclusion chunks.

ah yes the sacred blue scrubbie…..

fr tho one of my ssv had to bring in a mr clean magic eraser as a one time use to clean the stains out from the side of the rinsing sinks etc. worked amazingly tho with just a little bit of scrubbing, almost forgot they were supposed to be super shiny
boxinghamster16 3 points 2y ago
You can get in trouble for using magic erasers if ecosure sees them.
technicolourjpg 2 points 2y ago
yeah it definitely is off protocol and not encouraged but the cleaning solutions provided from sbux just wouldn’t get the sink stains out for some reason

we tossed the erasers after one use but then again we didn’t get our shipment of oven cleaner for almost two weeks at one point and neighbouring stores couldn’t provide so we had to improvise :’(
