Personally I prefer this to being scheduled a 6 hr shift and getting paid 0.25 hours less because i have to take a half.

But I’m also weird and put off my break as long as possible. I also am not a smoker so I recognize that I don’t have the same struggle (sorry, can’t think of a better word) as you do. Hope things get better for you

Also not a smoker, but I’d rather get paid 0.25 hours less and be able to sit down and actually have time to eat. I realize I’m the minority with this though. It seems most people prefer to not take a 30.

Same, I need to actually eat during my shifts otherwise I get lightheaded and eating a meal in 10 minutes is just stressful and makes me feel worse lol

I was always this way. A, I'm old. B, that did is hot! I can't wolf it down in 10 minutes!!!!

yeah this is like kinda normal. I usually work 5.75 shifts, and this is usually the case when you work during peak. Yeah it sucks, but would you rather waste time taking a 30 when u could be out earlier? smoke on your ten? For ex, if I were to work 6:45-12;30 I won’t need a 30. But if I were to work 6:45-1;00 I would need a 30. Id rather just be out earlier and not have to do that.

I’ve always worked 8 hour shifts, closing from 1:00/1:30-9:30, and would rather work an 8 hour shift with a half hour break if I’m already going to be at work until close anyway.

Well that’s a different case, if you’re working an hour shift you’re getting to get a 30 and two tens. Idk were all different but the 10 is just fine if times moving fast.

But admittedly I would rather work 5:45 than 6:00, taking a half hour is too long for a shift like that but it would be nice to at least get a second ten
