Honestly I feel like the WHOLE FUCKING PURPOSE of a drive through is fast af service with an impersonal setting. Starbucks is a fast food chain that really doesn't want to admit it is a fast food chain... idk whose bright idea it was, but these metrics are shit

I’ve been at SBUX for 4 years, and there was shift who was 5 years. For 4th of July during our peak we had 5 newbies who were hired the month prior to this…and who still need help with understanding what went with what. It was a disaster. More like babysitting 😫

I've had to do this while we had 5 people cause 3 were in the back talking about who knows what. So me and someone who hadn't even barred for a week was running the whole store and then the shift lead had the audacity to say the times were too slow

At my store we have to ask a shift for approval before we accept anything larger than a ten. LMAO I've gotten pushback anytime I mention the several possible tools we could use to avoid having to do this. They're just not good enough. The naked eye of an underpaid, overworked, hungover guy in his 20s is 100% accurate.
