Seriously! Last night I had a revelation though! Someone failed to charge a whip and it came out like the damn foam. I vote we stop charging some whips and just squirt that on top of all these drinks...
Side note I had someone request the foam to be on the bottom last night.... it doesn't work like that people!

Before we changed the whip recipe from 8 pumps of vanilla to 4 then I would do this occasionally... I don't even drink dairy usually but I know that the 4 pump whips aren't as sweet as the sweet cream would be so it wouldn't be as unnoticeable now.
But also whips are more precious at my store than sweet cream. High volume, we go through so many from frappuchinos alone. And one regular customer who gets a venti cup of just whip.

And these aren't customer creations, anyway. Baristas made up these drinks and shared the recipes with customers because they cray.
At least at my store, customer creations are like... caramel machiatto, no vanilla sub pineapple ginger. And two stevias. With vsccf on top. And extra extra drizzle. And cinnamon powder.

My stores recent customer creation highlights:
* tall ristretto cappuccino with thirteen raw sugars, extra dry (there was more sugar than espresso)
* venti kiwi star fruit lemonade with “two splashes of heavy cream”, two pumps of peppermint, two pumps of chai, add dragonfruit inclusions (the color of puke and it curdled)
* grande espresso Frappuccino with extra ice, topped with sweet cream cold foam, asked for a nitro lid and no straw (how is this sippable???)
* venti pike with peppermint syrup and a peach tranquility teabag (it smelled…wrong)

Okay I’m not gonna lie as an employee I made myself an espresso frap with sweet cream foam on top as drank it from a nitro lid …it was pretty fucking good. It’s definitely sippable but I made it with light ice to be that way. Not sure how it would work with extra ice lol. It was also a 96 degree day so a frozen drink was needed

literally was not told about this drink until a customer ordered it in drive with a green bean on drive and the shift had to step in on the now frustrated customer to figure out what the drinks recepie was since nobody was told what it was at the store.

I don't really mind Starbucks promoting tiktok drinks, but they should be marketed in a way that customers can order it and baristas can make it. Calling it "pink drink remixed" creates confusion because customers expect baristas to know what it is. Just call it "pink drink with vanilla sweet cream cold foam". Anyone who likes Starbucks enough to order it will be ok with it, and baristas who *don't get told when Starbucks decides to promote tiktok drinks until we see it in the media* won't have to be like "uhhh.. what"

Starbucks is disregarding us when they put out a weekly update that they're going to be promoting tik tok drinks with a direct link to the app as a direct response to barsitas communicating that the drinks are becoming so customized that it makes it impossible to have decent drive times. Especially since its usually more than one drink that get customized. And the justification for this is that since its now an official drink, its not a customized drink.
And not all stores have the capacity to have more than one blender to have the ability to split one for foam only and one for Fraps only, some stores have a limited space and no remodel is going to truly fix that for those stores

my store has 2 blenders but for drive times to be under 1.5 minutes this time of year we need both blenders on fraps because we regularly have orders of 4-10 fraps in not only drive but also out front.

I think the issue is that Starbucks is now actively promoting the secret menu and tik-tok drinks to guests but to their employees basically pretending they do not exist and are not causing any type of hindrance to our jobs.

Things get shitty - but you are also a part time employee who can qualify to get free school & health benefits.
For those of us who haven’t grown up in Starbucks and have job experience in other industries & with different companies - I don’t know if you understand that this IS the green grass.
Everyone seems to just want to bitch to bitch - but the best thing is that you can always get another job.
You don’t have to push a button on a blender - there are a million places that will work you harder and treat you like less of an individual.
And once you get fed up and leave, you’ll see that.
Because NO ONE wants to hear it - especially on posts like this.

It may be true that Starbucks is not the worst employer of all time but their handling of this secret menu bullshit and their sinister promotions are certainly worthy of bitching about. What else am I going to talk about in here? I don't like this job but I know what else is out there. I work at the Starbucks in Target BTW, which is a little better in some ways but worse in others.
