Nothing, the only healthy things are plain coffee and water.
_lanalana_-2 points2y ago
I mean thats very much not true. The refreshers are like 150 calories and the vsccb is 100. The shaken espressos are low cal too. I dont really like the refreshers tho and the vsccb and shaken espressos are more bitter than i like. Im not looking for 100% health nut options just something that isnt several hundred calories.
i_am_me4711 points2y ago
yes they’re low calorie but still SO unhealthy. the refreshers are basically non carbonated soda (a venti straw açaí has 47g of sugar). everything at starbucks, even the food, has so much sugar and fat. if you want to be healthy, you just have to avoid drinking anything but near black coffee, plain tea, or water.
KaleSalad2015 points2y ago
Lower calorie doesn’t necessarily mean healthy so I think that might have caused some confusion in responses. The refreshers might be lower calorie they have A LOT of sugar in them. Also don’t be tricked into switching to skim milk because that has SOOOO MUCH sugar. You could try adding sugar free vanilla to drinks to make them sweeter since that’s the only sugar free option that Starbucks has now. I’ve also seen some people put sugar free vanilla in iced teas with some milk to make an iced tea latte, I’ve never had it though so I’m not sure if it’s good. Also I’m not sure how you feel about Splenda or stevia but some people add less of whatever syrup or sauce and sub some splenda (not sure if it’s good though).

A trenta cold brew has 5 calories.
_lanalana_-7 points2y ago
Yes. That is literally black coffee. I am aware that i could get any variety of unsweetened coffee and it would not have very many calories. I work at Starbucks. I get unlimited free drinks on my shift. I like to get a drink that tastes nice occasionally when i am at work. I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas as to things that taste good and are sweet that arent so outrageously unhealthy. If i wanted to just get black coffee i would have done that.

This is an awfully dickish comment for someone who gets *extra* wm but wants sugar free recs for sweet drinks. They were just trying to help man
KaleSalad2013 points2y ago
But I do still kinda have to agree with the commenter above, Starbucks isn’t healthy and everything that is going to taste good will have a Shit ton of sugar and additives
Erbearlee10 points2y ago
You know the white mocha is like 60 cal a pump right?
_lanalana_0 points2y ago
Yeahh thats why im trying to find alternatives.
Erbearlee18 points2y ago
My point is that you’ve trained yourself to like overly sweet especially since you add more than standard white mocha which is one of the sweetest ingredients we have, so very little, if anything that gets suggested will live up to that standard. Especially since you’ve said that the shaken espressos and vsccb (which in my opinion are both really pretty sweet) are too bitter.
What you have to do is retrain your palate. I used to drink a trenta passion tea lemonade with 15 pumps of classic. It took me like 6 months to get down to a Trenta passion tea straight by just slowly lessening the sugar I added. The other day I added probably 4 ounces of strawberry açaí to it just for a different flavor and I had to throw it away because it was *way* too sweet.

This. Updoot this please.

I would start weening yourself off of the sweet syrups tbh I had to do the same thing like every time I made a drink I used less and less syrup until I was using one pump. But honestly plain tea is rly good with raspberry, maybe like nitro with sf vanilla and nonfat? If you want a lil extra sweetness without the artificial nasty I would use a packet of honey. It just takes a lot of trial and error until you find something you like lol If you reeeeallllyyy wanna stay away from sugar I would avoid any refreshers and the white mocha those are the killers
cherrythot4 points2y ago
I drink an oat milk latte with honey packets and a lil cinnamon dolce powder. Not great but certainly not the worst “health” wise. If I’m really wanting something sweet I’ll add either brown sugar syrup or sf vanilla.

Black coffee

Just reduce the number of pumps in your drinks each week until your taste buds adjust.

i’m sorry everyone is being really mean in the comments, you obviously know you drink really sweet drinks which is what you said in the original post, so idk why everyone is being mean but anyways when i was trying to lose weight but still enjoy drinks i would do:
-cold brew with 3 pumps of sugar free vanilla, cinnamon powder, and almond milk (you can add some stevia :)!! )
-passion iced tea with some coconut milk 2 splendas and 1 or 2 pumps of raspberry
hope you like them :)
_lanalana_1 points2y ago
Thanks so much! I’ll definitely try the passion tea one as soon as my store gets splenda and raspberry back! We’re out of both atm lol
tinyryno191 points2y ago
you could also do stevia! i did that today and it tastes practically the same but whatever is your preference!!!
TiredButImTrying1 points2y ago
I’m not sure exactly how many calories but just a little bit of guava or peach (if you have it) goes a long way in a black or passion tea. If you drink milk in your coffee soy is sweeter than regular milk. Also those green packets of artificial sweeter or maybe sugar free syrup could work.
_lanalana_1 points2y ago
I definitely used to use the guava all the time and youre right it does go pretty far! Were out of it rn which sucks so much but i cant wait for it to come back so i can start using it again!

Use sugar-free syrup. If you have to use non-sugar-free, use only 2-3 pumps. Sweeten it up with Stevia from there, if you want. I like passion tea + stevia + 2 pumps raspberry. Tastes good and 60 calories
Use low-cal milk like coconut or almond milk for iced lattes. Again, sweeten with SF syrup and/or stevia. My fav is coconut milk + 2 pumps brown sugar + 3 pumps SF cinnamon dolce
