Hey guys! Before I start this, I just want to thank you guys for all of your hard work during this pandemic. I have been a very frequent customer at Starbucks for the last few years.
I’ve been a part of this subreddit for a while and has been reading about all of the supply issues recently. Is there anything us customers can do to make your lives easier now during these shortages? Should we choose other chains or ask our baristas to make drinks based on what they have at the moment? What are your thoughts?

honestly as long as you don’t scream at us or blame us for the shortages, we understand it can be disappointing that we’re out of your favorite drink right now.
if you are at the store at a busy time, having a “back up” drink or 2 in case we’re out of your first choice would probably be appreciated

Just be chill. If you say, "I'd like a peach green tea" and I say "oohhh I'm so sorry to tell you I don't have either of those ingredients" then come back with something that isn't "how could you??!!!"
I like "darn, no problem. I'll have a black tea instead" or "rats! what can you recommend for me that's iced and not made of coffee?" personally, but anything that's kind and understanding is good.

We’ve been recommending black tea lemonades with strawberry açaí base and people have really liked it.

Honestly tho, the endless ways you can customize the beverages is the best and worst thing about Starbucks.
Like oat milk chai and apple juice to make an apple pie latte… mmm 😋

always have a backup drink or 2! If we don't have what you want we might have something else just as good or better. On the chance that we are out of literally everything you would want don't leave just yet, maybe ask for a suggestion. We can't make drinks outta nothing but the barista might have a favorite that is available atm and if you don't like it we can always remake it as anything that isn't more expensive than the drink you got.

i’d recommend just asking before you order if you think we might be out of something, like “hey do you guys have peach juice right now?”. but also the mobile app is normally up to date so you can always check the mobile app to see what a store might be out of before ordering :)
