my store's manager, who may or may not be currently be in trouble: does not work on the floor, does not communicate effectively with partners, refuses to help find coverage for sick partners, and has actively done things to make working at the store harder for everyone working there even targeting certain partners.
Example of my own: on the off chance I am pulled aside to speak with manager one to one I will mention something that has been helping me work effectively and then manager communicates to the leads that I work poorly with those things and better with something I explicitly stated will hinder me.
Complaints from the store: partners agree that something is good, manager hears and said thing is changed within the next week.
Everyone is now scheduled specifically so that as few partners have 30 minute breaks as possible.
Scheduling outside of availability.
Trying to guilt partners into coming in on days off weather coverage is needed or not.
Does not schedule self for busy days and calls out if they didn't sleep enough or having a bad day though majes it difficult for partners to call out even when company policy and health code states that the partner can not work that day.
Schedules partners for up to 14 days in a row regularly with only 1 day off between strings of work.
Discloses partner health information (such as diagnosed medical conditions and mental disorders) without permission.
Stating that we are understaffed less than an hour before leaving and not offering to stay longer on busy days.
Ontop of that manager has been trying to sweet talk the partners that manager believes are exploitable such as myself ,a new-ish partner, or the greenest of beans (which we have a high number of considering many people have quit saying that manager is the problem)
I've had a good time at my store so far but the manager is not a good one, we already have someone at the store who would be a better manager.
Thanks for reading and I hope you all are doing well.
