Ok so at my location, when ever someone rings up an iced coffee, I would read it as unsweetened, up to third line, add ice.
Do they come sweetened??? I heard that they are supposed to be (on the app it’s say 3,4,6,7 pumps classic) but barely any customers ask for it sweetened, and if they do it’s with a flavoring not classic.
What do you guys do??

They come sweetened. 3/4/6/7 full pumps of classic is the default recipe.

I always ask sweet or unsweet with iced coffee/iced tea, and then put it in so my baristas know I’ve asked. So even if they do want it sweetened and that’s standard, the sticker will still say classic on it. And now that the standard has changed on the iced teas and it’s standard to be unsweetened, I still put no lcs lol. I just find it helpful.

i always ask every guest if they want classic bc it’s the recipe, but a lot do want unsweetened!

It shouldn't matter that most of your customers don't want sweetened, Starbucks standard is sweetened. If anything, the partner ringing should be clarifying but unless it says "no classic", standards should be followed so customers get a consistent experience at every location.

The default comes with classic, so I end up asking every time someone orders iced coffee. It can get a bit annoying at times when the customer doesn't understand what I'm asking, but, you know, whatever.

It's the same as Iced Teas. Those use to come sweetened and so at my store we just ask everyone do you want it sweetened for iced tea and iced coffee. If the majority of people keep ordering it unsweetened, eventually Starbs will catch on and change the default.

I’m confused what you mean by “catch on” sbux changed the standard recipe for iced tea to not have LCS sweetener. But did you mean with or without for standard ?

My understanding of why they changed the standard was because most people were ordering it without sweetener. So by "catch on" they realized majority of people didnt want LCS so they changed the default. "Catch on" means they learned what people actually wanted.
