I'm thinking about moving across the country and I was wondering how I could transfer stores to do that. Does anyone have any experience with transfers?

You’re going to need to ask your manager for the approval. You’re also responsible for seeking out a store close to where you’re moving and speaking to a manager to let them know you’re interested in transferring there since you’ll be moving to the area. The manager there will then get in contact with your manager if you’re able to
