advice on putting in 2 weeks (self.starbucksbaristas)

my manager is on vacation until day after tomorrow, but i need to put in my two weeks by tomorrow for it to be 2 week notice. should i just wait until she’s back in store to talk to her? (so put in my 2 weeks minus one day) or should i text her while she’s on vacation? i’ll be out of town when she’s back so I can’t go in and talk to her. how do i get myself promoted to customer lol

email her! text isn’t official form of communication. it’ll have the timestamp on it so it’ll be two weeks. if you’re worried she won’t see it, you could also text her something like “hey just wanna confirm you saw my email!”

Email you manager so it has time stamp. Remember that a two weeks is a courtesy and not a requirement so if they refuse to accept it that way it’s on them.
