Now which one of y'all put caramel drizzle on a cheese danish because I just had a guy earlier ask me if I could put drizzle on his danish which I said no to because why but I gave it to him on the side so he'll leave me alone.

Literally. Like they're usually designed by partners who get free drinks and don't care about the end price. And Starbucks is just encouraging it now because they KNOW these drinks are pricey yet popular. Easy profits. But then we have to deal with pissed off customers. (Well, not me at least, I'm lurking here as a former partner because the wounds are fresh and I'm BITTER lol )

It’s been 2 months since I quit and I am also bitter about how fucking traumatized sbx made me. Current job is having to basically teach me that every customer isn’t going to jump down my throat for any reason

We have like 3 while boxes because no one asks for them. They all want honey blend. Which, by the way, we have 8 bottles stocked and 6 cases of because somebody had the foresight to order a shit ton of it before the shortage.

I would do it then shove it in the bag and smear is everywhere so it sticks to the bag and makes a huge mess and isnt worth it. And i would squeeze the drizzle bottle.... powerfully. Straight into the bag. On the wrong side of the danish. You want extra drizz? You got it.

One of the reasons I became a barista is so that I could try weird combos like this (as long as they don’t sound completely disgusting) and not feel guilty about making someone else do it for me! Might as well 🤣

get a banana bread and put java chips on top (you gotta smush the chips into the bread a little) and heat on 1 loaf. then top with honey. add whipped cream on top. you’re welcome.

Charge that shit as a custom iced tea. We don't sell individual drink components with water. When they get charge $4 to be gross they usually stop.

She’s soooo awful about it. She makes you make it in her sight because she wants it done so specifically. First you have to put caramel drizzle around the cup, then add the ice, then add more drizzle, *then* the water.

TikTok needs to freaking die at this point. I’m not putting caramel drizzle on a danish just like how I won’t put bacon from a bacon Gouda on the grilled cheese. They can order the two sandwiches separately and make their Frankenstein sandwich themselves.

I can picture it now- a customer orders a cheese danish and a tall caramel ribbon crunch. they smear the caramel and the toppings all over the danish, spilling half of the frap on the floor in the process. then they make a tiktok and it goes viral and none of us ever sees a clean floor again
