God ive had so many customers in my 2.5 hell years of working here intentionally misgender me and make fun of my falsetto voice. I can’t even work one side of my city because I can’t handle the treatment. Trans people really deserve more in this industry.

So a fun thing that happened.
Masks right?
People in Mississippi act like they're being murdered when asked to wear one.

Que the managers. Demanding we make customers wear them.

On a very very very busy Friday (like holy shit why was it so BUSY?) ALL the customers were acting a fool. We had a 12 drink mobile order that showed up, and the guy didn't tell us he was in the lobby and got mad that we were giving out drinks to other people other than him (his stuff was ready. We didn't know he was here)

We had a Karen refuse to wear a mask. She walked away and a shift lead (who wasn't even supposed to be working that day) was helping us try to get the masks under control

The ladies behind her saw her not wear a mask and REFUSED to wear them. They ended up getting super heated because I started studdering and trying not to panic because they were getting hostile. Shift lead was in the back having a panic attack
They ended up getting violent and punching the plexiglass so hard it snapped in two, and called the Off the clock shift lead several homophobic slurs.
So they've been banned
From BOTH Starbucks in my town

AND from most of the surrounding restaurants, because they went to eat directly after... But most of our baristas have family and friends at these restaurants. So they didn't get their frappacino OR food in this town!
