So, one of my coworkers texted the chat warning us that a lady wanted to order 3 dozen cookies by Friday. Starbucks cookie. The ones that sell for damn near 3 dollars each. I just hope she knows there's no discount.

Yeah, she was told that they would have to thaw and that we WOULD NOT be selling them frozen. One of the other baristas got in trouble for that recently.

Nah, they sold frozen cookies to somebody. We were told not to do that by the new district manager.

Did the district manager say why we shouldn't sell frozen bakery items? I have a lady that comes through and requests it.

Not starbucks but at another fast food restaurant that sells cookies. Someone showed up at ass o’clock in the morning and asked for 50 cookies, and we had to make them fresh since we didn’t have many made. Took about 10 minutes per batch (13 cookies fit on the baking sheet) and they were so rude about it

Ew. It literally takes nothing not be a dick. Especially when you're wanting someone to do something for you. Ugh, sorry you had to deal with that.

Reminds me of my time in Subway, except by that point we’d probably ask them to do catering.
[deleted]24 points2y ago
Lmao, really tho why do ppl shop at starbucks??
kizzythaboss [OP]30 points2y ago
It's so weird. Like, last Saturday we had a group of people come in, like 15 or so, and they ordered over 80 dollars worth of drinks and food. I'm just standing there taking orders like "y'all couldn't go to a restaurant?". And they took a bunch of sandwiches to go since we don't have indoor seating. It just seemed idiotic to me.
[deleted]18 points2y ago
Yep. Fast food for middle/upper class.

Like, grocery stores exist and sell cookies. That are better than Sbux cookies and you get like 2 dozen for $4.99. What the heck lady!
kizzythaboss [OP]9 points2y ago
I really want to see her face when they all are rung up. There are soooooo many better options.
Meggilli9113 points2y ago
I’d ask for a deposit or for her to pay ahead of time. Just incase she decides to change her mind you don’t have a million extra cookies pulled
kizzythaboss [OP]15 points2y ago
I'm still not sure if they're gonna do it, for that exact reason. Plus, we've already had a shortage of pastries, not everything we ordered is being sent anyway. So she better hope food truck actually had everything we needed or, in the words of Willy Wonka "YOU GET NOTHING!".
